The Membership Committee maintains and updates membership lists, addresses issues of membership fees and works to build CALF membership. It works with the Communications and Marketing Committee on the membership directory and establishing parameters for who can join, how to join and recruitment. |

Communication and Marketing |

| |
The Communications and Marketing Committee is responsible for maintaining and updating the website, sending a monthly e-newsletter to members and pursuing advertising opportunities for CALF and its member businesses. It works with the Education Committee to publicize events. Ultimately, it determines "Who we are," establishes branding, and conveying "Why CALF is important." |

The Media Committee updates the website, facilitates upgrades and manages resource links on the website and works on newsletter and email announcements. |

Policy |

The Policy Committee assists locally-owned enterprises by identifying, compiling and disseminating educational and other materials that can assist CALF members in managing their enterprises successfully through the sourcing of local products and services. Additionally the committee will identify and review public and private practices and procedures that may inhibit or enhance successful local ownership and local economies. The committee may, where appropriate, make recommendations to the CALF board regarding public policy positions and practices that improve the business environment for locally owned businesses. |
